Need some help with
selling your vessel?
Tayana.com - The logic place on the web to advertise your
Tayana
There are a lot of vessels for sale around the world! There is a very good
reason why some sell and a lot of vessels are for sale for a long time.
Following is advice on how to increase the odds of selling your boat,
selling it faster and getting more for it. Primarily, sellers must
understand that there are many ads (both in print and on the web) listing
boats for sale.
A few basic rules need to be followed in order to increase the chance to
sell your sail boat and not waste the potential buyers time. Remember that you
are not selling a bottle of milk or cup of coffee - you are selling a yacht!
For most people, purchasing a yacht is a major investment from both a
personal and financial perspective. With all of the technology and
information available to today's buyer, the main key is to get their
attention! Whether you personally embrace technologies such as the internet,
they are here to stay and will represent a larger part of our lives every
day. With the advent of the internet and faster connection speeds we are
becoming a people of impatience. We want information now and do not want to
wait. If your ad does not grab someone's attention and give them the
information they want or a reason to stop, you've lost them to the next ad.
Contrary to what people think, most luxury items are impulse purchases. It
is not an impulse purchase like a candy bar at the checkout stand, but
rather once the decision is made to purchase a yacht, it only takes until
the right ad is seen. By putting all of the information right out front
(including large, clear and sharp photos along with a price), the chance of
selling your yacht increases dramatically.
To put it in perspective, imagine a comparison at a grocery store. You need
a bottle of milk, however they are kept in a locked cooler and the glass is
slightly frosted over. You can barely make out which one is 1%, 2%, whole
milk or buttermilk. To add to the confusion there are three different brands
of milk and all of the price cards are all missing. In order to get more
information, you have to check off which bottle you are interested in on the
"Information Request" card and bring it to the front of the store. Once a
sales clerk returns from lunch and is available, they will send you the
information on one bottle at a time. This doesn't work for a bottle of milk,
so why does it work for a yacht? It doesn't!
At Tayana.com, all ads must give complete information including builder,
year of manufacture and price. And while we can't force you to send us clear
and sharp photos, we will encourage you to send us the best photos you have,
without forcing unrealistic limits on what you can show.
